AITechJ – Refund Policy

1. Overview
AITechJ, operated by YS Infomatics Pty Ltd (ABN 46 644 607 714), provides digital educational content including courses, practice exams, certifications preparation materials, and AI-powered learning tools. Due to the instantly-accessible digital nature of our services, our refund policy is designed to be fair while protecting against abuse.
2. Digital Goods – Non-Refundable Policy
All course purchases, subscription plans, and digital content are generally non-refundable once access has been granted. This is because:
- Digital content is delivered instantly upon purchase
- Course materials cannot be "returned" once accessed
- Knowledge gained from content cannot be un-delivered
By completing a purchase, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to this non-refundable policy.
3. Exceptional Circumstances
Refunds may be considered at AITechJ's sole discretion in the following exceptional cases:
- Duplicate purchase: You were charged twice for the same product
- Technical failure: A persistent technical issue prevents you from accessing purchased content, and our support team is unable to resolve it
- Billing error: An incorrect amount was charged due to a system error
- Unauthorized transaction: A charge was made without your authorization (subject to investigation)
Refund requests for exceptional circumstances must be submitted within 7 days of the purchase date.
4. EU / UK Cooling-Off Period – Digital Content Waiver
Under the EU Consumer Rights Directive (2011/83/EU) and UK Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013, consumers are normally entitled to a 14-day cooling-off period for online purchases.
However, for digital content that is delivered immediately:
- By purchasing and receiving instant access to digital content, you expressly consent to the immediate delivery of the digital content.
- You acknowledge that by beginning to download or stream the content, you waive your 14-day right of withdrawal where permitted by law.
This waiver is presented clearly during the checkout process before payment is confirmed.
5. How to Request a Refund
If you believe you qualify for a refund under the exceptional circumstances above:
- Email us at support@aitechj.com with the subject line "Refund Request"
- Include your registered email address, order/transaction ID, date of purchase, and a detailed description of the issue
- Allow 7–10 business days for our team to review your request
- Decision notification: You will receive an email with our decision. If approved, the refund will be processed to the original payment method within 5–10 business days
6. Subscription Cancellations
If you are on a subscription plan:
- You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting support
- Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you will retain access until then
- No partial refunds are provided for unused portions of a billing period
- Auto-renewal will be stopped, and you will not be charged for subsequent periods
7. Chargebacks & Dispute Resolution
We encourage you to contact us directly before initiating a chargeback with your bank or payment provider. Filing a chargeback without first contacting us may result in:
- Immediate suspension of your account
- Loss of access to all purchased content
- Permanent ban from the platform
8. Refund Abuse Protection
AITechJ reserves the right to limit, deny, or revoke refunds if patterns of abuse are detected. Refund abuse includes but is not limited to:
- Repeatedly purchasing and requesting refunds
- Consuming significant course content before requesting a refund
- Using refund requests to circumvent our non-refundable policy
- Filing chargebacks after receiving a refund from us
Accounts found engaging in refund abuse may be permanently suspended without further refund eligibility.
9. Australian Consumer Law
Nothing in this Refund Policy excludes, restricts, or modifies consumer rights that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. If you are an Australian consumer and our services fail to meet a consumer guarantee, you may be entitled to a remedy.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date and version number. Continued use of the platform constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
